Thread: Cardnyl Banned, Fidgeter Kicked

I've been playing for the past few days on Texas ...Teamplayers... server in CoD 4. I enjoyed my time spent there and enjoyed the people I ran into there so I recommended it to two of my friends who I play CoD 4 with, one of which is Cardnyl.

#1: Cardnyl was kicked initially for "not teamplaying and exploiting". Then I asked what exploit? Admin said Mousewheeling with the G3 and Do you guys just come to this server and not read the rules? Then he banned cardnyl after he reconnected and said "?" and kicked me(Fidgeter) I assume for asking for clarification on why my friend was kicked, so I came here to post a complaint. The not teamplaying i assume was from him running for cover when he was under fire, which was in the other direction of the HQ.

#3: I don't see anywhere in the ban rules something about mousewheeling. It wasn't even mousewheeling. There's a peripheral called N52 Nostromo Gamepad and G15 Gaming keyboard that both allow a repeat option. There was no complaint prior to kicking him that either of us saw, please correct me if I'm wrong and just didn't see it.

#4: We were unaware that using options of certain peripherals would result in a kicking, or banning when asking for clarification. If it is illegal we could not use certain options but that was never even warned or in the server rules. I would ask that the server rules be addended to be more clear on use of mousewheeling, N52's, and G15s if they are indeed not allowed.

I was the admin who banned Cardnyl. As Mr. White said, if he wants to be unbanned then he needs to come to the forums and explain himself.

On a personal note, I like playing with you Fidgeter. You are a good guy and a good player. But there are some rules here at TTP and you and your friend broke a number of them.

So format your unban correctly, bring Cardnyl to the forums and have him do an unban thread and the admins will vote on letting you back on to the servers. If you remain calm and well spoken there is no reason you can't be unbanned.

Actually, you weren't kicked you were banned yourself for talking back to the admin. I banned you in fact. Of course, you'll need to make an unban request related to that.

If Cardynl wants to be unbanned he will have to do so himself. If he has access to the internet and a computer to play games, he should be able to come to the website and do so. I'll let the admin who banned Cardynl handle that request and the reason.

I'm sorry you felt that way. I don't feel like I was talking back, simply asking for clarification on what exploit you were talking about. But that's just from my perspective. Your's obviously was different, so I apologize if I was abrasive and argumentative. I wasn't meaning to be.

Since I use a similar setup to him I could've been in his position if I were using a G3. Thanks for your quick response though, but I won't be requesting an unban for myself. I did enjoy my time playing on your server but I don't agree with this situation at all. I tried to be as impartial as I could and stick to just the facts hoping that would be enough. I still feel the bans were unwarranted.

I'm sorry if you feel I stepped out of line. I hope you'll listen to my suggestion on amending the rules to include "mwheeling" and possible use of N52 and G15 repeat options.

Nevertheless the kicks and bans were warranted. Cardynl was warned for camping and not pushing the objective. Then he was kicked for camping and not pushing the objective. Then he came back, asked why, was told "Stop camping and push the objective" He proceeded to continue to camp and that is why I banned him. The fact that he was exploiting the rate of fire on the G3 was simply a reason over and above those already stated.

You were not banned for asking for clarification on why your friend was banned, you were banned for calling the Admin's decision stupid and arguing the validity of the ban in public chat. This is where it became disruptive to the server and thus you were banned.
