Thread: Banned yesterday from CS:S server. Not the Custom Map one.

#1. Why do you think you got banned?
I honestly am not sure at all as to the reason for being banned. However, I do recall that my score in-game was about 44-8, and I can only assume that I was banned for hacking. I do not hack and have never hacked (it shows lack of commitment to the game). I read through your clans rules thread and did notice that it said 'no negative verbal comments'. Maybe this is the reason I was banned. As I recall, I was following a teammate (Do not recall his name) through the area in De_Train that the Terrorists use to get to the B-bombsite. I was a CT and I believe the teammate and I were performing a flank. Once we reached the top of the stairs and turned the first left, I noticed a Terrorist behind the miniature wall that faces the ladder that leads down into the outside by the A-bombsite.. After my teammate passed the Terrorist (again, he was infront of me) I noticed the Terrorist and shot him before he could kill my teammate. I proceded to tell my teammate "Are you blind?!" But I said it in a tone that (I believe) hinted sarcasm and humor. However, if I was banned for this reason, I guess I can live with it... Even though I did enjoy your server and the maps played.

#2. What server were you on? What admin do you believe banned you? What admins were there playing?
I was on the CS:S server that does not have Custom Maps or Top5. My steam ID is -=[47R]=-SorroW" STEAM_0:0:14783374 00:30 102 0 active

I do not know what admins were on because as the post outline described, your admins are anonymous. I cannot remember the names of anyone that was on at the time. I am new to your server and am not framiliar with your pubbers, regulars, or admins.

#3. Why should you be unbanned?
Honestly, I don't konw if I should be unbanned because I was not given an explanation as to why I was banned.. I recieved no warning before I was banned. It was very sudden. If I did deserve to be banned, I appologize for breaking your rules and respect your authority to disallow my commuting of your server.

#4. A written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again.
If I am unbanned, I do promise to follow your server's rules (to the best of my knowledge). The server probably has a 'ignorance is not an excuse' policy, however I do reserve the right to be human and accidentally do something against the rules.. I am saying that I can do my best but I can't guarantee complete perfection. I have played on many servers with many rules and I'm sure that you can imagine how difficult it is to keep them all straight. My home server is very different than yours, for example, in the aspect of quick-switching (which I didn't know about being an exploit until visiting your server) and going to Spectator and back to the team for money.

#5. Failure to address all of the above questions clearly will result in your post being locked and/or your unban request to go unprocessed. If you don't care, we don't care.

#6. If your ban is sustained (upheld by the voting admins), you will have to wait at least 30 days before any additional request to be "unbanned" can be accepted.


P.S. My server's forums have an outline for ban application. I didn't know if this forum is the same, so I assumed that it was and went ahead and copy-pased the sticky and added my account of the situation beneath. Thanks in advanced for taking your time to read my request.

Thanks! I'll keep checking up to see how it comes. Really looking forward to playing with you guy again. I thought about playing on the Top5 Server, but read a couple of other threads where people did that and were banned from that server, too. So, I will refrain from that track to keep relations as good as possible between the entire TTP community and myself.

We appreciate you keeping your cool and following the format. I made your unban thread known to the whole CS Admins, so he/she should step forward soon. Sorry for the inconvenience, we've been busy this past weekend/week.

Honestly, I don't know if I should be flattered or offended. I mean, I am an admin of my server and we are REQUIRED to make a revealing demo before we are allowed to make any bans. I realize that your server is not my server and things are probably handled differently, however no one asked me to explain anything or gave me a reason for being banned. I was having a good day, and I get banned? I don't want to dig myself a hole, but I do feel like my opinion should be valid under these circumstances. I realize that IF I was hacking, then banning me on the spot would have been most fair for other players, however since I was not hacking, I feel it is unfair to take away my privilege simply under 'suspicion'.

I am sure that this post will not change the way things are handled, and I am fine with that. I simply wanted to express the way I honestly felt about the situation. I don't mean to just complain about something that can not be changed. I do, however, wish that anyone reading this will take these points into consideration next time. Thank you.
