Thread: banned.

1.) I believe I was banned because the admin thought I was spawn camping perhaps? I was under the name BigBen

2.) I was playing on the server with the IP 72.233.44.146:27015. I believe the admin that banned me was TcZ. Bravo. Im not sure who else was there as far as admins go. Although im almost certain it was him that did it due to the situation.

3.) I believe I should be unbanned because I really didn't break any server rules. It was literally 7 seconds into the round when I killed Bravo and about 13 seconds when I was slayed as I was leaving the spawn. I can see how he would think I was camping spawn as I was in it when I killed him but is 7 seconds really camping when the call was not a rush call? If it is, are we not aloud to cover the door to allow the team to get across the short A catwalk without getting sniped? If we are not allowed to cover in this way I am sorry and I guess I will use smoke or just run into the awp fire next time. I know I have been getting slayed a lot recently and I know it is because I didn't know the names for a lot of the calls for the new maps. I have been playing BF2 and BF2142( on Texas team Player servers ^_^) and haven't played CSS in literally a year until I recently reinstalled it last week.

4.) I do apologize for not following the calls this past week and I can pledge it wont be continuing once I re-learn the terminology.

Bravo is one of our more experienced admins, so I am SURE there is more to the story other than a 10-20 sec spawn camp. You said yourself that you have been slayed a lot recently, correct? So maybe you getting banned was a culmination of things you have recently done, right?

Bravo will be here shortly to shed some light on the circumstances surrounding your ban.

First off Ben, that was the second round in a row that you were not with your team... On the previous round, the bomb was planted at bombsite A and you were sitting in T spawn with your little Auto looking into B tunnels, but I couldn't pull the slay button before the rd ended.

Second, your team was up 14-3, bad form camping and using the auto sniper.

Last but not least, I slayed and typed "Get out of spawn" in admin chat, then you reply with the smart ass remark "Lol slay me just kuz I just killed you". Which got you a free ban and brought you here.

thank you for reminding me. You are correct I was looking into B tunnels the round before. The reason being that it was called all CT had rushed B I had the auto from picking it up from someone else as if you play with me and Im sure you have, you know I prefer the scout to any scope 99% of the time. So therefore I decided to head the CT off with the auto I had. Is this not a good strategy? Is it not helpful to the team if as the CT run past the doorway en mass I take them each down to 50hp with an auto shot? with 8 or so people all making it into the unguarded A site would another one not just be nade fodder? I mean, if the server rule is literally to strategically stampede the call with no room for judgment I apologize and will follow the crowd from now on.

As for my previous slaying I honestly have not played a game of CSS in about a year and before that not seriously for another year. ( you can thank the addiction of MMO's for that) I have learned most of the terminology now and will follow the calls made. I really enjoy playing as a team using good strategy instead of the usual "run around until one side is all dead" that you get on most other servers. The players on the server are also very fun to talk to which is always a huge plus. I have yet to see leet speak in the server. ( I personally hate it lol)

What I am trying to say is while I disagree on the reason for the recent incident, I apologize for the past errors and they will not be occurring anymore.(until we play a new map... then may be the first few rounds only. ) I sincerely enjoy playing on this server and will follow the rules to the T if that is the way the admins wish them to be followed.

thats the kind of response you get 30 seconds after getting banned. I wasn't thinking about the past slayings and such until the other poster brought it up. and after I read the Banned sticky.


yes, a little lightening up would be a good thing. For instance no one even asked if I was new when I didn't follow calls at first. Not your job I know but would it be so hard to just ask?

as for the response to the slaying. I said that before I saw your warning. I'm used to shitty little kid admins that would do that. It takes a little getting used to when theres a decently fair admin around.

And that's the problem, you SHOULD remember the past slayings, why they happened, and not make the same mistake. I was new once, hell I even got slayed a few times for being stupid, but I remembered those cases and learned what NOT to do.

yea I understand that. and like I said I did learn, not from the slaying really but just from playing the server I learned what calls like "sneaky" meant. Hell to be quite honest I didn't even remember which site was A or B on any map other then dust2 at first.

For the not remembering the past, I didn't realize past slaying's counted towards a future ban. In my opinion I was learning the server so it didn't seem to me to be something that would affect my future on the server.

I personally didn't think watching a hallway that you know the enemy is going to pass through while your team gets to the site unopposed was wrong. Nor covering the doorway from spawn until the team gets across the catwalk. If it is then I will not continue to do so and I will bumb rush whatever the call is with the rest of the team or find a spot along the way to try and cover from even if it is less of an advantage.


I appreciate any votes for my unbanning as I really do like to play this server. If I didn't then I wouldn't be here typing all this out.

Well maybe that's the problem. LEARN and REMEMBER why you were punished and slayed so you won't make the same mistake over and over. And if you are punished, DO NOT talk back to an admin. I still don't buy your "covering the flank" story. Especially when you seem to forget the previous round, sitting in spawn, while the bomb is already planted in "A", with an Auto sniper looking into B tunnels....I suggest you just stop trying to make excuses, and being a smart ass.

Bigben, your vote has ended, and you will remain banned...You can return in 30 days to appeal.

Hopefully you can realize, in that time, what you were doing wrong and what you need to do to fix it.

And if you do come back, think really hard about what you post and how you post it.
