Banned from TF2: Top5

#1. Why do you think you got banned?
I honestly don't know, I didn't receive any warning or anything.

#2. What server were you on? What admin do you believe banned you? What admins were there playing?
Last night on TF2:Top5 on badwater. I don't know who banned me. The only player I can remember on the server was Gideon, not sure if he is an admin?

#3. Why do you think you should be unbanned?
I have been playing regularly on your TF2 servers for about 6-8 months now. I have not knowingly broken any rules and I enjoy playing on TTP because of the community and teamwork on TTP servers and would like to continue playing on them.

#4. A written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again.
I will continue to follow the rules and not do anything to get myself banned.

Chillen, I banned you for suspicion of hacking.

Thank you for formatting your post correctly and maintaining a level head. This will go a long way with your unban request.

On cp_steel you were camping the defending team's "E" spawn (a legitimate tactic) as sniper. The setup is actually a pretty good one for a sniper, where you are protected by a large gap and you are staring at the garage-like spawn door. However you were consistently pulling HS after HS immediately as some one walked through the door.

As you know the spawn doors have a very fast open and shut time meaning you would have to have extremely good reflexes to no only predict where the person was exactly coming out of the door, as well as be able to snap to a HS on them as they nearly immediately came out.

Unfortunately I did not get a demo of this, and only got one of you on the next map "badwater". However even when I specced then, you would sometimes stare at walls as if tracking some one, and often times would aim near some one and then SNAP to a HS. This is very suspicious to me as an admin as I have seen many youtube videos of hackers who do the same thing.

I will show the demo to the fellow admin community and start your vote, but feel free to say anything regarding these events in your defense, specifically on CP_steel.

To begin my defense I would like to say that I do not, and have never used hacks and that I hate the people that do because it ruins the game for everyone else.

Regarding my spawn camping on steel
1. The window across from the spawn is in an elevated position making headshots slightly easier.
2. Since you have to walk up to the door to open it, I already know the height your head is going to be at when it opens, which means I just have to worry about my horizontal aim.
3. The door is fairly narrow, so I just aim directly at the middle and have to turn slightly left/right depending where exactly you come out.
4. I am on the outside looking in from a pretty good distance while you have to be standing right up against the door to open it. Although the door does open pretty fast, this gives me a huge advantage as I can see your feet and can begin to line up my shot as soon as the door begins to open while you have to wait for it to almost fully opens before you can see out. This also makes it extremely hard to countersnipe.
5. You guys were coming out 1 by 1 like 5-10 seconds apart from each other instead of rushing out together = dead.

Maybe I am reading this wrong but I'm pretty sure all snipers stare at walls to charge and wait for enemies, and aiming near someone before shooting them is just the way I snipe. I rarely aim directly at an enemy until I am ready to shoot. I usually need to charge a couple seconds before killing most classes so i will usually aim in front/behind them and use that time to figure out what direction/speed they're moving.

Chillen, by a margin of 60-40 your ban has been overturned.

You should be able to rejoin the servers tomorrow morning after the servers restart.

Please know that your attitude is what ultimately got you unbanned. You should also know that you will be watched very closely from here on out. I encourage you to look through and post in our forums and try to develop a reputation in the community other than "that quiet guy who is good at sniper".
