Thread: CoD4 Ban.

I was banned to night because i was "Wheel binding". When i dont. My finger is really quick and i get a work out from doing it. Ill put more meat into this unban request due to that i cant write the full one to night. I have certain times that i can be on the computer and i done have any time left.

#1. Why do you think you got banned?


I think i was banned due to that i was clicking my mouse really fast while using my pistol. My wheel on my mouse dosent not works anymore and I dont feel like getting another mouse. The message that i got was" Viktor_Olin wheel binding idiot."

#2. What server were you on? What admin do you belive banned you? What admins were there playing?


I was on the TTP CoD4 server on 9/10/08 around 8'ish, EST. I belive that either summon or bardoc did. I saw that bardoc wasent playing and then i was banned. I know summon was playing while the server was up.

#3. Why should you be unbanned?


I should be unbanned because i dont and cant bind my wheel mouse to rapid fire. I will try my best to not click so damn fast and if i do ill tell them that i was clicking.

#4. Written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again.


I have re-read the rules and agree to them. I will not try to click so fast and if i do ill will notify the dead person. I clearly know that if i do anything stupid and idoitct that i will get banned again from the TTP CoD 4 server.

P.S: When i click really fast, if you spectate me you will notice that i stop moving any the only thing that is moving is my aim. If i were to bind my wheel, if it worked, i wouldnt stop moving, IMO.

I was your banning admin. Thank you for posting in the correct format.

First, a clarification: your ban message said banned by Viktor_Olin , mouse wheeling. You were not called an idiot by me or anyone else in chat or console messages (that I saw).

As to your ban: As a COD 4 regular and a member of a resident clan, I'm sure you realize that mouse wheel binding is an exploit and is considered a bannable offense. Your explanation of a malfunctioning mouse is, shall we say, a bit suspect. However, even if true, that explanation does not exonerate you. An intentional wheel binding or a defective mouse results in the same thing: an illegitimate advantage over other players on the server. Anything that gives you an unfair advantage will not be tolerated on TTP, and you should have realized that before this occurred.

I will put your ban appeal up for a vote. As you know, the vote typically takes three days from the initial post. You will be informed of the results at that time. If your ban is upheld, you can appeal the ban after 30 days.
