Re: Banned
Jeep, I'm glad you could get a laugh out of it.
I'll try to be concise, out of necessity; it's 2 hours past my bedtime, and I'm on fumes here.
Keep in mind i'm not trying to suck up, which i'll prove in the next paragraph. I love teamplay. Anybody who doesn't have VOIP enabled should be shot and banned. Not having a mic can be a piss-off, but voip disabled is inexcusable. I'm constantly on voip. I'm all about squad-work, and get extremely frustrated when I have a squad of 6 but only half are doing what I'm telling them to because only half have voip enabled, and the other half are doin BS at the far corners of the map. During the round I had been banned, I was in the building north of mosque as a sniping squad leader when my team didn't posess the mosque. I was more or less waiting for people to accept invitations, so that I could make use of my position. I didn't receive any voip commands, or at least a mic was unplugged or something....keep in mind my voip is always on. Thanks so much jeep for your detailed response, I truly appreciate it. Glad you got a laugh out of my first post :)
NOW, down to business. Technically, this was a bannable offense, according to your rules, albeit it seems there were some technical problems that led to it. Principally, this was BORDERLINE kickable. Nowhere near bannable. I'm a dedicated player and love your server, but I won't stand for this kind of unnecessity. I got banned and have wasted time of yours and mine, and responded as you would have me respond, and look at how I was treated. I've boycotted digital anarchy for this kind of treatment, received both in-game and in-forum. Now I don't know how familiar with dA you guys are, but I believe it's such attitudes and 'client' treatment that has led others astray from dA, and is why their attendence is so low. Jeep, I'm not berating you in any way, you've made my week with your attention and politeness. I'm just upset because I wish I could have, in 5 seconds, resolved this with you in-game. Also, to my defense, I had been playing that night for about 3 maps (6 rounds), often with a full squad under my command, and most commanders didn't Oave voip, which pissed me off like no other. on top of that I'd be sitting there with my requested vehicle yellow icon on my map for most of the game, and my squad was getting bored with ME because I couldn't deliver what they needed when it was really a non-responsive commander, no matter what the medium.
So, make your vote. Know that standards are set by how you pass judgement on your ban forums.
Jeep, thank you for your consideration.

I still would of banned you for not following orders. Not only did I repeatedly say "Squad 3 Hit the Mosque" over and over but I also used the in game command in which you declined a few times, which is why I was seeing the red X.
You only had 3 other people in your squad, after I booted you all three of them followed every command I gave them that round.
I personally could care less about other servers with other players. This is TTP and it is run by very very dedicated admins. No one here cares weather one person thinks its right to as weather we ban people for certain reasons. I personally hate taking time away from the other players to boot someone, and I dont boot lightly.
Post your request in proper format and me or another admin will post your results when voting is complete.

Re: Banned
alright, well I'm sorry to say I disagree with the execution of your rules. this whole democratic process is just too hardcore, and with people like mad dog it seems more despotic at heart letting such malevolence be directed at dedicated players. Banning on first offense is pretty disagreeable in most cases, including this one considering it was honestly circumstancial.
And so it is...
I'm sorry it couldn't work out between us.

what I meant is, he gives an in-game order, and I respectfully decline with the irrevocable "no, sir" for a specific reason, and if he had asked me over voip I could/would explained my situmatation.

jordachejeans,
By vote of the admin community your ban has been sustained. If you choose to do so you may appeal your ban in no less than 30 days. As a reminder we take teamplay, and the chain of command, very seriously. Failure to follow the orders of your commander or squad leader is not taken lightly. Please remember this should you decide you would like to appeal.
