Thread: Unban request.

#1. Why do you think you got banned?
I was playing on your server last night (around approximately 11pm CST), and for some reason one of the players on my team had hostile (red) tags. In the chaos, I killed him two (possibly three, I don't recall exactly) times before I finally realised what was going on. I then immediately apologized and refrained from doing it again. After the round was over, I went out for a smoke and returned to see a message that I had been banned for excessive team-killing.

#2. What server were you on? What admin do you believe banned you? What admins were there playing?
Unfortunately, I don't recall the player's name, nor any others. I very rarely pay attention to that sort of thing.

#3. Why should you be unbanned?
I very much enjoy you guys' server and, as I said, it was some sort of glitch and certainly not intentional. Please check my player stats and you will see that I have a total of 3 tk's in the nearly 3 hours I played last night.

#4. A written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again.
I am not someone who TK's intentionally and I don't plan to start, so hopefully I can get an unban. Thanks.

I was your banning admin. You were banned for both teamkilling and force teamkilling. In your 5 minutes on our server, you managed to teamkill one particular player 2-3 times and force teamkill another player. That is definitely not getting off on the right foot here at TTP.

Your account was created on 25Jul05. At the time of this post you have logged only a total of 5 hours of gameplay. In another thread, you wrote that you've been away from the game for about a year. Out of my own curiosity, how does this account have so few hours logged?

The reason my account has so few hours played is because I was unable to remember my old account's name/pass. This was, as I said, a year or more ago, therefore I created a new one. However, I'm not really sure what bearing this has on my appeal..

And again, I will reiterate, I killed the same player 2-3 times because he was a sniper that had red tags. I mistook him for a hostile. After I saw the TK warning in the combat spam and realised what was going on, I apologized in chat and didn't TK anyone for the rest of the round. As far as a "force team kill", I'm not entirely sure what you are referring to.

As I previously wrote, it was merely curiosty on my part.

I have started the vote petitioning your ban with the admins. You really got started off on the wrong foot here with 3 teamkills on 2 different players in less than 4.5 minutes. I recommended for you to remain banned. However, there are over 35 admins that may see this situation differently than myself.

The admins have, by a very slim margin, decided to uphold your ban from the server. You can once again appeal this ban, if you choose to do this please do so in no less than 30 days. If you follow that path please reference this thread in your next appeal. Based on how close this vote was, I'm most confident that the next vote will be in your favor.
