Thread: Got banned

I was on the Top 5 BF2 server playing MEC flying chopper with elkhartadam. The Intake was being overrun and as we boarded the chopper we were sniped outa the cockpit. As I waited during the countdown to respawn I saw the enemy running toward the chopper. When I respawned I assumed that our chopper was being stolen by the enemy. I jumped into a tank, first killed an APC near the flag and swung the gun around toward the chopper. It was taking off, so I shot it as quickly as I could. I managed to shoot it down. Then elk (at least I think it was him) asked me why I shot it down. A little puzzled I said cause he just shot us out. Next I hear the words banned and removed and I'm outa the game wondering what just happened. I am begining to suspect that I may have shot a friendly down. If that is the case I am truly sorry. I admit that I can get a little trigger happy in tense situations and sometimes shoot first and ask questions later. I will do my best to be more careful in the future. I Apoligize to whoever I may have TKed. :-[ I like this server and the players on it. I would hate to loose it.

That's funny, because I think I was the one you TKed and I got banned as well. That is weird. I saw the sniper that shot you and killed him before he jumped in. No big deal if you killed me on accident, but why did I get banned is the question. I haven't played in almost a year and got banned the first minute. It was kinda funny to me.

3 day site ban for posting in a banned thread and not being a relative witness, an admin or the banned themselves.

Your recollection of last night's incident seems a little fuzzy. There is no doubt in my mind that you shot down a friendly. You have fulfilled the request in full, do you care to add anything prior to your vote beginning?

If you say I shot down a friendly, I believe you. It's not the first time I've made a mistake like that. I will try my best not to let it happen again.

I just started the vote recommending that you be unbanned. Honestly I'm still not 100% sure that your being completely truthful in this thread. Howevern, since we've had no problems with you in the past, I'll take your word a good and move on from here.
