Thread: Unban request

#1. Why do you think you got banned?
Probably because the caller called every CT go roof about 10 rounds in a row on Piranesi. So I said: "Look, this whole CT go roof every fucking round isn't a good idea. We need to try something else."

That's about when this came up: "You have been kicked and banned."

#2. What server were you on? What admin do you believe banned you? What admins were there playing?
CS:S regular server.
Don't have a clue who did it.
No idea which admin was on.
I don't know what my steam ID is or how to check it.

#3. Why should you be unbanned?
Because I shouldn't have been banned in the first place. If I knew who banned me, I'd post in the abuse forums.

#4. A written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again.
This isn't my 1st time to this forum. I was here 1st a loooong time ago when I first started playing here for tk'ing someone in BF2. No problem, i don't normally do that, it shouldn't have been done, and I got that message loud and clear. Then a few months ago when I got was banned in error for hacking. What a trip that was. Both of those I completely understood.

But this time, I'm at a loss. Now I've already said I wouldn't do anything to get me banned 2x before, and I've stuck to that like white on rice. In fact I consider myself to be a great teamplayer. I follow the rules. I promote this server. I help people in understanding what they are when they're new, and I point players the right direction when they're screwing up. I pay for a reserved slot because I believe in what TTP is doing/stands for and yes, as you can see in the quotes above, I've been known to swear.

So this time, when someone tells me what I did wrong, I'll make that 3rd statement. But right now, I feel this is bullshit.

1. You were banned for not following the call.
The hell I wasn't. Read the last part of my post. I was on the ramp to the roof leading the pack (as usual I might add). Afaik, I was the only one following the call (no rearview in CS). I hope you stopped to pick my deagle up off the ground on your way up.

We covered this in part 1. I didn't "lash" out at you. Toughen up Jeff. I was speaking rhetorically, meaning that call 10x in a row sucked. Not you.

Serioulsy? Maybe you should draw that out for me there Jeff, because I honestly have no idea what you're talking about.

Well, it's like 10 smokes thrown double doors at D2 for me. I can't see a thing you're talking about with excpetion to my quote (my words exactly I might add), which wasn't aimed at you. Maybe you banned the wrong guy.

We didn't kick ass. We won a few, we lost a few. The rest I covered in pts. 1 & 3. Btw, terrible is 10x in a row all CT's to the roof.

Thanks Jeff. I got it, and I was there. The whole team ran over my banned body, and now the whole community knows it.

Look, I don't want to call you out, make an issue of this (which YOU did btw), or get on some high horse, but this was bullshit. There's a reason I've been at TTP so long and have never requested to be an admin. I don't envy your position, it's tough, many times thankless, and certainly a lot of work. Still, you volunteered, and you've got to show discretion/common sense when making these calls.

My main agenda here is to get back up and playing in a community I both support and respect (this includes you btw). So whatever I did to piss you off that got me here to waste our time, I'm sorry for. But honestly jeff, other than forcing us both here to trade posts, I'm just going to be the same guy tomorrow as I was today, as I've been for the past 2 years (or however long at TTP). Nothing you put here makes sense to me.

For future reference, if you think you can do a better job leading the team offer to make the calls. Not saying you never do this, just giving advice.
