Consolidation Ban

Hey guys, i think i got hit by mistake as well. The last time i had played i had actually called in an admin to get rid of a speed hacker (admin came in and helped out, sukka free) and then left a bit later, next time i tried to log on the the server i was banned from one, and today i just checked and i was banned from both. Just heard about the new ban system.

have you resolved all your steam game bans? i know you had a open tf2 ban that was sustained as well as a CSS ban that was overturned. The new ban system put into place recently bans across the board if your steam id pops up for ANY of the steam games so if you are banned or still banned from TF2 this will effect all other source games from this point forward until you clear whatever bans you have outstanding.

yeah i was banned fom t2 i think a year or so back. I came on and syringe was pissed at me after we had played cs and he banned me. I THINK it was back when the "banned from one banned from all" rule was in place. If i understand correctly that rule is being enforced again now?

actually it is a program enforced procedure now.

Example: A ban from one game server will now add that same ban to all other steam affiliated games, so a ban from TF2 or having your steam id added to the ban list would affect your ablity to connect to ALL other steam games this includes CSS, DoD, and L4D.

understood, what should i do about the tf2 ban? i don't have enough info to do a proper unban post.

I can't really tell you how to handle your TF2 ban process, but i would suggest you make an attempt of a repeal your sustained ban. Because as it stands right now until that ban is settled or overturned, you will not be able to rejoin any other source servers here at TTP.

1. I don't remember why i got banned it was too far back. If it was back when the banned from one banned from all rule was in place then that was probably why.

2. I was on one of the tf2 servers. I know syrinnge was on the server though, and i'm pretty sure he was a tf2 admin.

3. I think i should be unbanned because (although tf2 bareley runs on my laptop which is my only computer to play on as of....a good 6+ months) I am nothing but a teamplayer on the games i DO play. Being counter-strike and left4dead with ttp's regulars. Also hub mentioned http://www.texasteamplayers.com/index.php?topic=65182.0 that things would be a little easier since in that thread the ban reason is no longer a rule.

the "banned from one hosted ttp game banned from all ttp games" game rule isn't in play anymore, i don't know if that's the same issue as with quickswitching though.

I have in fact refrained from doing things that will get me banned, this issue is one from a long time ago and i have since majorly changed my ways. I have many cs regulars and ttp memebers who i play left4dead with that can vouch for me now, as i have made many friends in the community and although i'm not the talk of the town, people know i will always have thier back.

this is the first, i never made one before because i was getting my laptop and i knew i wouldn't be able to play tf2 on it. I'd been focusing on playing css, i've had alot of stuff behind me here at ttp and i wanted to clear my name, i figured that another unban post comming from me (for i game i cant' even play now) wouldn't help that. Happy to say now though that i have, no more admins angry at me, no more warnings to follow the call, taking control of the newbies, calling in an admin to catch a hacker, good stuff ; )

by the way, am i allowed to play other ttp games right now? I reformatted my pc awhile ago and i have battlefield 2 sitting here beside me i want to know if there's any point in re-installing it.
