Unfairly banned.

A few days ago, I joined, spawned with the bomb, and briefly got distracted in real-life, resulting in me obliviously running off by myself and dying. Admin says to follow calls, I respond saying "relax, I got distracted," and someone says into their mic "RELAX?!" and I get permanently banned.

Can I get this ban reversed and perhaps have this admin looked into? I don't recall the exact day, but the map was de_port. My STEAMID is 8879471. The server was Texas Team Players CSS, IP 72.233.44.146:27015. Thanks.

I was your banning admin, and you said a little more than that.

So, I banned you for admin disrespect. There was another admin on as well who was about to ban you as well, I just beat him to it. All you had to say was "Sorry, got distracted." Instead, you take a smartass stance and respond with the above. If you want to report admin abuse, feel free, we have a forum for that.

When you have the bomb and go in the complete opposite direction of your entire team (all you had to do was use your radar and go in the direction of your team), that affects the entire round. Is the above the kind of attitude we can expect in the future, or will you make a more concerted effort to mind your comments?

Why would you assume the "annoying" comment was directed at you? I don't blame you for pointing out that the bomb should be with the team. I realize that, like with all player-run servers, no one is there to police your actions, but a PERMANENT BAN? Come now.

We don't argue with another player in game, because it is a distraction, and most of the time, we're busy making calls. History has taught us that players that respond with smartass remarks end up being problems later on. So, we don't give them a chance to.

I gave you the warning, you chose to be a smartass, so I banned you. Now, where we go from here is up to you.

If it was a misinterpretation, then why was there another admin getting ready to ban you as well? Even the regs that were on questioned your choice of words. If you'd like, we can get a witness or two in here to share their side of the story.

There is no story to tell. I logged in, suicided with the bomb because someone started talking to me, relayed WHY I suicided and expressed my annoyance about it, got banned.

Why do I believe both you and another admin were ready to ban me? As someone who has power over others, you're likely used to things going your way, hence the reason you took offense. Perhaps you even ENJOY policing people and saw what you WANTED to see in my words. This wouldn't surprise me, considering the rarity of a CS admin earning their position rather than having it handed to them by a friend or via their wallet. I feel you should have recognized that there were two interpretations to what I said and opted to clarify rather than thoughtlessly casting me aside. Maybe you feel it's not worth the effort to do so, in which case I'd ask why you are in a position to make that decision.

I'm guessing you're probably just going to take offense to this as well, and I recognize that it would've been simpler for me to just get on my knees and apologize, but you DID ask and I do feel this ban is ridiculous. It's hard finding anything resembling a vanilla server and I just want to play the game, so how about lifting the ban?

We don't just "lift bans" just like that. Bans are voted on by the entire CSS admin populace, and you certainly aren't winning any sympathy votes with your replies here. And admins earn their positions; insinuating that we get in because we know someone on the inside or because we donate a lot of money is insulting.

Going through your chat log, you seem to have a disgust for the way we run things here.

You certainly seem to dislike the way we do things. You're lucky you weren't banned before for some of the comments above, but the admin most likely missed them. Why are you even here, since you obviously don't care for the server rules and administration?

I will take offense for the community Vogrim and I will pretty much guarantee your ban will not be lifted. Your own attitude sunk yourself.

We have fired numerous admins for dereliction of duties. Their job is to simply enforce teamplay. If you wish to question an admin decision, disrupting the flow of the game is not the way. Bring it to the forums and we can hash it out here.

I don't care if you choose to be on your knees or stand like a man, we are not looking for sycophants. All you had to was explain the situation, but to be attacking what you perceive to be our stance on what we expect from a ban appeal as if we are looking for a dog and pony show is disrespect pure and simple. Obviously the only thing you care about is yourself and not in what we are trying to accomplish.

These are our servers. You can play our way to our expectations or you can go fund your own server and play in any fashion you wish.

Come back in 30 days and you can make your final appeal. In the interim, I would recommend you read through more of our forums and try to figure out what it is we are about and adjust your attitude accordingly or go on and find another community. If you wish to make an admin abuse complaint, there is another forum where that can be addressed.
