Thread: Unban Request

1. What happened: After several rounds and maps, and the second round of Daging Oilfields, I spawned in on the game with my squad, and observed a player right next to me who was firing in the direction of my squad/teammate and I did not see an enemy. We were so close that I could not make out his tags and accidentally Tk'd him. Whoever it was, or another player immediately Tk'd me, and I was abruptly banned.

2. This happened on the BF2 server while on the Daging Oilfields map on 9-16-2010 around 7:30pm PST or so. Sorry about not having more info or screen shots.
I got kicked so fast that I don't know who the admin was at the time, nor other players, and most of all whom to apologize to for the TK, as I have no idea who that was?

#3. Why should I be unbanned?
As someone from what is a very good clan, it is my personal goal to set an example for all other players, just as I do on my clan's server; To always strive to do the right thing and 'follow the rules'. On this particular day. I screwed up, and made an honest mistake. The TK action was not purposeful and completely unintended on my part. That is so different from the game-disturbers that go around causing problems in different servers and act in infantile ways
It was a close-in action, where I failed to ID the other player first as he was right next to me when I spawned in, and his tag was too high to immediately make out. Yes, I drilled him, although I'm usually pretty careful, and just got hair-triggered there.

I've been on TPG off and on for quite some time now without any issues, really like the other players and the team play. That's why I registered here.
I almost never, at 99% of the time when I'm on the TPG or any other server, punish for a TK, where someone else makes a mistake and TK's me (heat of battle, accidents happen, I give the benefit of the doubt first) unless it's the third time, or something like that. However, I did punish for being Tk'd by the player that immediately did it to me on this server, and don't know who that was either. Were they also banned?

#4 I will make every effort to avoid any TK in the future, follow all the server rules and generally, act with good sportsmanship-like conduct, and also to 'check my fire'.

BoltAction i will handling your ban. You have addressed in your post the exact reason you are here. As to your question of if the other person was banned at this point in time i do not know. Thank you for the reasonable post you made on this issue. I will put your vote up it should take no more then 3 days.

Your ban has been overturned by the admins. Keep in mind the rules of the server. We understand things happen and try not to ban those that make an accidental team kill. However an intentional one or intentionally shooting at friendlies will land you right back here.
