Thread: My Ban Appeal

I got banned from your servers about a year and a half ago or two years ago. I can't remember exactly when, only that it was a long time ago. I do, however, remember the circumstances under which I was banned. We were playing a game of cs when someone on my team used some racially charged language. The player who did this was summarily banned. After this, I mouthed off to the admin. I think I said someone along the lines of "Hey, that wasn't really so bad. (referring to the language the other player had used)" After that I was banned as well. I recognize that what I said was totally out of line. I'd like it to be known, though , that I'm not racist at all. I wish I could remember what was going through my head at the time, as that might make this more clear. I didn't appeal the ban immediately because at that point in my life I was taking on a lot of responsibilities, so I wasn't really able to make time to play video games.

I can't remember the name of the admin that banned me. Also, I think that the servers back then were different. I believe that there were three team player servers, one of which played one of those "gun game" counter-strike modes. I was on one of the servers that just played vanilla counter-strike. I went by the same name on the server as I do on this forum. My steam ID is "STEAM_0:1:3281563."

I think that I should be unbanned for a few reasons. Firstly, I realize that I was being immature, and that what I said was totally inappropriate given the context. I definitely don't plan on acting like that again. Secondly, I'm a team player through and through. Finally, I can safely say that I've gone through a lot of personal growth in the time since I was banned. I'm a lot more mature now than I was then.

If I'm unbanned, I promise not to do anything that would violate the rules of the server again.

A final note: I searched for my name on your ranking site. Other people with my name showed up, but with different steam ID's. I just wanted to make this known to avoid any confusion. I think that I may have been off of the server too long to be listed on the site.

I just looked over the other ban requests and saw that they all followed a numbered format. I apologize for not doing the same. I did, however, address every point in banned rules/procedures post, in order.

Hey Knarf. Its ok that you didn't do the # format, as you addressed everything we needed. I vaguely remember you...the name definitely sounds familiar. So how long had you been playing on our servers before you got banned?

Thanks, Vafaskillz. I think I had played here and there on the Texas Team Player servers for a long time. I have a neighbor who is a regular on the server, and he always encouraged me to play on TTP with him. I think that I had only been playing regularly for a couple of months (3-4?) before I got banned, though.

Who is your neighbor? Sorry to ask so many questions, but I need to get as much information as I can get before I can start an unban vote for you.
