Unban Request

#1. Why do you think you got banned?

From what I gather I was banned off the L4D2 server for a suicide and not obeying the rules.

#2. What server were you on? What admin do you believe banned you? What admins were there playing?

I was banned off of one of the L4D2 servers and all other source servers. I am not aware of the L4D2 admins identity.

#3. Why should you be unbanned?

I have been a long standing member of the community and I should have known better. The only reason I found this ban even existed was to go prime the DoD:s server. I promise not to take the rules so lightly from now on.

#4. A written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again.

I will refrain to acting retarded again I was taking things too lightly and over stepped the boundaries of the rules.

#5. Failure to address all of the above questions clearly will result in your post being locked and/or your unban request to go unprocessed. If you don't care, we don't care.

#6. If your ban is sustained (upheld by the voting admins), you will have to wait at least 30 days before any additional request to be "unbanned" can be accepted.

Vlade. I was your banning admin.

I actually had to go back and check the demo to be sure I understood what happened at the end of that game because I didn't believe that what I heard was what happened. Not one, but two attempted suicides when another player was telling you not to do that. That, in itself would have just caused me to think twice about putting you on my invite list in the future. But what got you banned was specifically this (and I am going to paraphrase slightly as I don't feel like loading up the demo and transcribing it).

Vlade: just jump off.
<other player>: nah. You can't do that.
Vlade: No, no, don't pick me up. Just get over here and jump off.
<other player>: nah. You can't do that. It's against the rules.
Vlade: What? Against the rules? Fuck the rules! We're going to die anyway. If I'm going out I'm going out in a blaze of glory.

At which point you jumped off again, and being the last person up, the game ended.

Care to explain that "fuck the rules" comment? Do you think so little about tpg's rules these days?

Kanati we were down by 900 points in a fight that we were going to loose. We had two people already down I can understand what I said and did was wrong. No I don't think so little about the rules these days I try to uphold them as much as I can. This was a game of friends out to have fun or so I thought. My lesson is learned I wont be fucking around on the servers. As per my comment of "fuck the rules" it was just a comment where I should have kept my mouth shut simple as that.

It was indeed just a game for fun. And like I said, just the suicide itself might not have made me pull the trigger. But you DID have someone telling you no, don't do it more than once. When that happens you aren't playing with your team. But no matter my personal opinion of suiciding, a blatant disregard for the rules by saying "fuck the rules" wasn't something I could ignore.

I was witness to said event, vlade was on my team. I just want make sure it's noted that he caused no problems with our team up until the finale. I know vlade would never Intentionally throw a game or troll. We weren't in a position to win so he was trying have fun with it, but got a little carried away. He's an upstanding player and friend I'm sure if you allow him back there won't be any issues.

Your ban has been removed. I believe, along with most, that you had a brain-fart and it was a momentary lapse of judgement. Just remember that even in a friendly game admins have to police the servers the same way for everybody. Reg or pub alike, a lapse in judgement has to be addressed.
