Thread: Banned - l4d2

A few weeks ago I was banned in one of your l4d2 servers by an admin that goes by the name Scrum. I was told by a few members of the TPG community that I should appeal this ban because I shouldn't of been banned for voicing my opinion. People have done it several times before and have never been banned. So, why me? I was in a game with 3 friends that are apart of the TPG community and 4 other members I didn't know. The server was very laggy and my team and I we're complaining about it. So in chat I asked if we can finish the game in a different server considering that everyone there knew it each other I didn't think it would be a problem. I was asked why and I told them that the server is very laggy and that we are all playing like shit because of the lag on a shitty server. After that the admin asked if I had a problem playing here. I responded by saying "I do" simply because of how laggy it is. That's the whole honest story. If I was banned for saying my opinion that the server that day was shit and very laggy then isn't that wrong of the admin? I'm going by what TPG community members have told me and also getting banned in the middle of a friends game kinda pissed me off too. If some one had a problem all I needed was a warning and I wouldn't of talked the rest of the game. I received no warning that i was going to be banned and I had to hear why from other members. Please respond.

If I remember this was quiet a while ago. Edit: Check looks like last time you joined was July 1. So two months ago. You and a couple of your friends who were non-TPG regs along with Ms Tin were getting beat, and finally I think it was on the 3rd leg of the map you started complaining about the lag. I'll have to sift through the logs to find the exact chat but if I recall you were being disrespectul - and part of that is indeed coming into our house and telling our community we have shitty servers. In the mean time may I ask why you took so long to post this? If our servers are so shitty why are you now back here wanting to play on them? And I'm guessing these folks that said you should not have been banned were the two other friends on your team right?

So I even tried to talk to you as a player even before I warned over admin chat. What do I get? A Mr. Internet gaming badass response. I also clearly warned you via Admin Chat before you asked if you should be scared. Unfortunately our admin chat does not get captured in our logs but I can assure you a warning was issued.

So proof is in the pudding, now what?

Most of everything I said is there. I said in my response the server sucks, and is shitty. What else? And I didn't think talking is admin chat was a warning. You never said at all that if I don't shut up that I will receive a ban. You never mentioned anything about a ban period. I already admitted I was being disrespectful but this is about me to get my banned remove and if it's against the rules to voice my opinion. The server sucked the day like I said. I played on it early that day and it was laggy too. So should I be banned for voicing my opinion? Probably the only disrespectful thing I said is that your server sucks and blowed the two times I played on it that day. I never dissed your community as a whole. I have friends in TPG I wouldn't talk smack about all of TPG because of one bad laggy night. So if me voicing my opinion and being disrespectful gets me a ban then so be it. But I'm asking. Is it against the rules to tell you that your server sucks? 1 server, 1 night. Both times I was on it. If you see that I said TPG sucks, or if TPG is shitty then ban me. I didn't mean to disrespect you so I'm sorry if it looked that way. The only thing that seems like I disrespected you, the admin, is when I asked should I be scared because you're talking in admin? That was a serious question. Even after that you didn't say I was going to banned or kicked. I'm actually almost sure I got banned immediatly after that. I ment no disrespect. I would of even just left if you asked me. No perm. ban was neccessary. I wouldn't be disrespectful to you. I never lied. No where at all in the chat logs did I talk shit about your community or you. So why am I banned?

#3 You never said I'm here because I disrespected you until now. I was told I was being disrespectful to TPG. Which is it? Do you have anything that proves I was being disrespectful to you? Should I be afraid you're talking in admin isn't being disrespectful. Does this answer your question now? That is blantant disrepect to an admin. End of story. Admins do not need to warn you letting you know not to disrespect them. The admin community will decide your fate.
