#1. Why do you think you got banned?

I was banned for what was seen in an admin's eye as teamstacking. Joined a game, went to grab a drink while I waited for a new round, came back, was banned.

#2. What server were you on? What admin do you believe banned you? What admins were there playing?

CS server. Pimp banned me. We talked about it afterwards. I don't agree entirely with his reasons. Yes, a player should view the scoreboard before joining a team. I did not do that. But I'm also not nearly the player I used to be. My stats since I moved, finished grad school, got a new comp, etc are under the name "Dak." KD ratio of .78, win of 46%. I'm not necessarily even the person that SHOULD go to a team that's already struggling.

My overall win ratio is 41%. Ie 59% of the time I'm on the losing team. I am not a team stacker. I do play CT a lot though. If joining CT the majority of the time is against the rules I would definitely refrain from it.

Nothing that I could see was even communicated to me. From my point of view, I was banned for blindly hitting 1 (CT) as opposed to viewing the scoreboard for an opportunity to possibly balance teams and then joining a team. That's something an admin could fix by switching me, if it was deemed necessary. I wasn't rude to anyone, I don't hack. I follow all calls. I used to even make some calls myself. I don't believe what I did warranted a ban.

#3. Why should you be unbanned?

I'm a long tenured player here. TTP is pretty much the only server I play on. I enjoy the community and I've made a lot of friends. I'd like to continue playing L4D2 and TF2. CS is not my thing anymore, I'm leaning heavily toward just uninstalling it altogether.

#4. A written statement that you will refrain from doing anything that will get you banned again.

Yes, Dak. I am your banning admin, and I did ban you for blatantly stacking the teams. The score was already 5-0, and the Ts were down a player. You joined, and went CT, making it 12-10 in favor of an already stacked team. For a reg or reservist, there's absolutely no excuse for doing that.

I don't care if you're the worst player in the world, if you are a reg or reservist here and you are joining mid-map, you damn well better be checking the teams before you make a choice. And if you see that a team is down a player and is losing badly, then you join that team. Simple. What you don't do us blindly choose whichever side you like based on your personal tastes. You, and any reg or reservist here, should know better than that.

Fact is, I don't have to warn you before banning. And I shouldn't have had to. You've been here long enough to know that you should check the scoreboard before joining a team once we're more than a few rounds in. I've banned regs for this before and, chances are, I will ban for it again. Like I said, there's no excuse for not checking the teams. Not one.

That being said, we all make mistakes. I do understand that you like to play CT, and that you think your skills don't make much of a difference. But, all of that is irrelevant. You blatantly stacked the winning team. You never know who will be the difference maker from map to map.

Knowing you, I'm sure that this won't be a problem moving forward. I will put up a vote for you, which will last no longer than 3 days.

Retracted. Had a couple of points to make, Pimp, but I obviously wasn't paying as close attention as you were.

1) If you don't have a reserve slot, that means that someone dropped allowing you to join, meaning teams were at 11v10 when you joined. Because you can't join the server when it's at 22/24 without a reserve slot. Every reg should have the habit of checking the scoreboard when they join mid-map, regardless of their skill. Mistakes happen, I get it. But I don't have any tolerance for blatant teamstacking by a reg/reservist. None.

2) The Ts might have had 1 player with a positive KDR, while the CTs are sitting there with most of their team with positive KDRs. Whether it was 5-0 or 5-2, it was still plainly obvious which team needed help, and which team didn't need to go up 2 players.
