We've currently been doing our practices in empty pub servers (with no sv_cheats and randoms joining) 80% of the time as we've been unable to find a private server the majority of the time...

Anybody can run a listen server on their own computer and control it themselves. You can enable sv_cheats and people can give themselves all the smokes and flashes they want. You can also set a password to prevent random people from joining. We did this for strats and practice on the IBIF team.

I didn't think you could do this anymore... I know I used to be able to make a server and people join it but now it doesn't work..

I made a server 3 weeks ago and tried to have a friend join it and he couldn't. If its possible please let me know how you did it..
