Thread: Championship Finals: fragpants vs. K Money Krew!

I know I'm busy the next couple weeks with funeral stuff, and moving and things like that, but after the 22nd I should be relatively free.

How does sometime between the 24th-27th sound? Not this weekend but the following, It's memorial weekend, but how is everyone's schedule for then?

It's not about 3 weeks practice for a map, its about having a legit championship with both teams having 5 players. Scheduling has obviously been an issue so planning a match where both teams can schedule a time/date that suits all would be ideal, preferably sooner than later. If it takes a week or two then so be it. I appreciate your input, but I know you had little concern for this tournament in the first place so why you are concerned now is beyond me.

It's not about 3 weeks practice for a map, its about having a legit championship with both teams having 5 players. Little concern in this tournament? I'd have to personally disagree, sure I couldn't put the same amount of time as some of the other TPG community members, but little concern is a understatement. Especially with the amount of time I wanted to camera the tournament before ESEA Playoffs started, and the fact that I watched every match on twitch live, and a few that were POV'd because I was busy with ESEA Playoff matches. Sure I put ESEA ahead, as there's money involved (Not ESEA points), but that's always been my priority. Luker was the one who mentioned practice.

I also don't see why only 1 map is being replayed. If you're going to have anything replayed, it should be both the first map and last map. Second map was the only one that was actually played.

Pretty sure that weekend won't work, naeroK is off this weekend and most likely works the next weekend. If we are to play it would be this weekend but I don't know if ab1tar is around or if naerok even wants to play, last time we spoke he was done with the tournament because of how things ended, so was Luker but apparently after he woke up the next day he had a change of heart......

Anyways, besides all that, just realized something and was wondering if you already took this into account or overlooked it. Map 1 was a FFL as well, any reason as to why we are going straight to map 3 (train) for a "rematch"?

Edit #2: Members feel that it was a legit win since map 2 would have started at 10pm anyways because 9pm was the latest start time for map 1, meaning map 3 would have started around the time your 5th left anyways and you could have attempted a 4v5 like we did earlier in the tournament. One member said a "friendly" rematch is fine, lol.

My apologies. I was basing my assumption off of the first match you missed, and that you were going to p250 only. I do know that you watched the majority of matches and I do remember you wanting to camera, so my apologies for my mis assumption.

We'll shoot for whenever we can both have 5 players at everyone's earliest convenience. I wasn't exactly thrilled at the way things ended either, which is why I am pushing for a legit rematch, I think we owe it to each other. I don't personally consider map 1 being a FFL, seeing how the whole 'best 2 out of 3' thing didn't exactly pan out as expected. The fact is, we played one legit map, all forfeits aside that puts us pretty equal on the playing field in my eyes. We can do map 1 over if you prefer, but I personally think having 1 map, all or nothing would be most entertaining and easier to schedule. I can put up a poll to see what the community thinks should happen but let me know what you would like to do.

I mean if we really want to talk about legit and fair matches, we may as well go further back and have a LEGIT upper bracket finals match 5v5 with starters. That match itself could have just been a easy FFL for us but I decided to just go ahead and play it 4v5 since we were there, and since a reschedule was not thrown out there/offered.

Honestly, this "rematch" doesn't seem like it's going to happen, and here's why.

No offense to any of my tournament teammates, but I haven't been able to use my ideal starting 5 since the tournament started. My 2nd pick, Xificul, basically refused to let anyone help him install a 3rd party voice program like Vent and pretty much just withdrew from the tournament making me change my roster around and let my 2nd round draft pick go to waste. On top of that, naeroK (1st round pick and starter) is 100% done with this years tournament. Not to be a dick to my team or anything but playing without naeroK who was my most important player because of the communication and knowledge between the two of us is something I rather not do. We all saw how the 4v5 on cache went.....the 3-4 rounds we won were because of 4k rounds I got and also an ace, we actually should and could have gotten more rounds if my teammates had listened to me when I told them not to peek and play the bomb, but nah they peeked for a frag and lost 3v1s etc =/.

Ok I should have said you didn't want any more help after repressive duck tried to help you before the 1st match. How did I refuse to get another teamplayer? That's not how the tournament works, I can't just go replacing you with anyone I want, you were drafted. We did however use another member to play the match. I had no way to contact you because you removed me from friends before the tournament, and when I did try and contact you through steam groups we were in, I never got a response. All I could do at that point was ask someone who had you on friends (Axe) try and message you. He got in touch with you a couple times but even he had trouble finding you online at the same time as him. The few times he did get in touch with you, he asked questions I told him to ask but I didn't get the response I needed. I had him ask what times and days worked best for you so that I can see when all off our teammates had a similar day/time that we were available to play, instead you would simply just tell him find a day/time and I'll tell you if that works or not....That could have worked, but that just makes it take longer for me to schedule a match since it wasn't easy contacting you.
