    Left 4 Dead sound problem

    Hi, i played l4d normally for like a few months but now when i play i cant hear anything but gunshots and people talking on the mic. I really dont know what to do so if someone has this same problem of knows how to fix it please tell me. By the way i can hear the menu sound and the cutscene and stuff.

    I have the same problem, Its really frusturating
    No music can be played, and only VERY few zombie sounds are played.
    I hear gunshots and the voices of survivors, tha tis really it.

    I support this thread.

    I don't suppose you have tried reinstalling the game yet?

    Actually, try this first:

    Go to your Sound Devices in your Windows Control Panel. Under the Speaker settings, click on Advanced. Click on Performance tab, and adjust your Hardware acceleration settings and see if that helps.
