Thread: L2P practice 3\25

Practice Tuesday night @ 6-ish.

Okay, so to some of you, this won't be a massive surprise, but to others, it will be. It's been no secret that we've been cooking something up over the past few months, and the time has come to actually come clean.
Shortly, after the final few teething troubles have been ironed out, we'll be launching the official Left4DeadForums ladders.

For those of you who aren't familiar with the term, allow me to put it another way - this is your chance to finally prove to everyone beyond any doubt that you're the best damned individual zombie killing machine on these forums.

The full extent of what we've got planned will emerge over the next few days, but suffice to say, there's a lot of work gone into this, and I'd like to offer my thanks to the following users, who not only gave valuable input into the process, but managed to keep this a secret for several months while we worked on it - so a big thank you to I Redemptionx I, TeenRacer6, H2O Wheatley, Mincegamer, Crimson, Bile Jar, Hillbilly and Darth Betty.

If you've got any questions (and I know you will have), fire away, and I'll do my very best to answer them. Keep your eyes peeled over the next few days for more updates.

At the moment, we're looking to rank players individually rather than in teams, although if we get enough teams submitted, we can still do it by team.

Alright, well i'm aboard, didn't you say we should do this AGE'S ago?

I did float the idea a while back, and since then it's gone through the various stages of planning and execution and it's now at a stage when we're ready to announce it.

Nice idea and a good way to drum up support and potential new members for the forums. Personally, I'd keep it on an individual scoring basis though to avoid pre-existing clans from coming in and dominating the leaderboards (plus I reckon organising a team-based ladder will take a while and might result in fewer games being played), just my opinion though.

Any thoughts on how you'll work out the points system? Will it only be valid for 4v4s?
