Re: ISI Match
GMG says he's out. That's a shame, he kicks a lot of ass.
From the "ISI scrimage" thread, DonFede says he'd like to play.
It looks like Xav has just become a sorta-maybe-can-make-it player. We need a backup commander.
I got my rig set up on my temp 'net. Played a few rounds last night. The ping is decent, though for some reason my mic wasn't working.
[Dex mentioned that he saw my mic icon lighting up, but no sound - thanks Dex]
I'm going to work on the voice-com, but it looks like I'm good to go.
Sounds good. Just to see if I have it straight:
Sat, Sept 24.
Match to start at 2pm West Coast time [5pm Eastern, 4pm Central, 3pm Mountain, Euro-players can sort it out for themselves]
Someone who knows for sure: Please Confirm.
It would be helpful to know when we can join the server.
Cheers,
AetheLove

Re: ISI Match
Today, 2PM Pacific Time (+1 Mountain, +2 Central, +3 Eastern)
Suggested SL: visuvigay, nihiligay, h7gay
If Xav don't make it I can command, Unless someone else really wants to.
USMC: h7 red-line around hotel to mosque ; nih red-line around market to mosque ; everyone else rush outpost and fountain. Then go with the flow.
MEC: h7 locks down the path though lake. Mine it, have AT, Support and medics hiding behind the rocks and stopping advancements. Tanks back em up. Back up the road if neccessary.
Everyone else locks down outpost, including the hills and road to lake on the sides.
Then go with the flow.

Re: ISI Match
16 players, less one commander, leaves 15. On offense, 3 squads sounds good. But playing D with MEC, does it make sense to have a 4th, small, demo squad to switch between helping to hold a line and making asset destroying/stealing runs at USMC base? That'd be something like 3 4-man squads and a 4th 3-man demo squad.
Thoughts?
Cheers,

Re: ISI Match
I don't think we have enough to do that/ If we successfully completely stop all their attempts, then maybe we can allow for 2-3 ninjas. Just my opinion of course.
Also, however is going to be in charge of the server, could we please get 5-min prep/grace period before each match.
Let the squads form and hit the reset

Re: ISI Match
On MEC .....You guys should have a small 2-3 man demo team. These guys aren't used to having evil base-rapers up in their grills....go take out their UAV,scan, and arty. 1 Support, 1 C4, and maybe a Medic if it seems you can spare the third player.
If it seems to be a lost-cause to take out their assets, that small team can help fill any holes in the line.

Re: ISI Match
I think Love has a good point, on the MEC side it might be better to just have one (1) player running Kamikaze missions....it definitely takes a full squad to cove outpost to fountain and another squad covering lake to junk....and one in reserve on the road approach. We don't want these guys getting in behind us.
Also, on the USMC side, I thought we were going to let the SLs run with vehicles (as Smiley said) and then join the squads that make it through? I would suggest we have the two tanks move up together (wrenches) to lay down suppressing fire on outpost to let the SLs in DPVs get through. Just a suggestion from having done this map far too many times. FYI, don't we need at least one medic guy with each SL if they intend on running the red lines?
I am assuming there will be no early starts like on normal map changeovers, so we should all start at the same time.
Finally, as for Love's Q about when the server opens up, I think Dex or someone arranged for it to be open now...I will go try it.
