Unreal Tournament 4!

The pre-alpha is out now, it's public, and it's free. I downloaded it last night and played a handful of games and it's pretty freaking sweet. The map in this video is the only one with actual textures over everything yet, but you can still play the other maps they've put out so far, they are just a little bare but still super fun. There's a decent number of servers with a decent number of players.

I've been following this game's development fairly closely and I love it so far. While I do appreciate that they are trying to move away from the F2P stigma, but still make the game free, It would be nice to maybe have at least some cost to the game to separate the rabble/griefers/hackers from the rest. They will always still be there, but they seem to run rampant in free games.

Anyone else get the game or looking forward to playing it? Most servers that have people on them are just running DM but I think CTF is a playable mode that has been implemented at this time. I'm hoping to see a lot of people playing it at Quake-Con this year, they should have at least a few more maps ready by then.

I haven't played Unreal since UT 2004 (I was a kid back then). I'll certainly give it a shot. Is there any chance a TPG server would be run ?

I was just about to ask that. There's a handful of community servers that are pretty full most of the time, if TPG wanted some easy free connects, now would be the time while there are not that many servers to choose from

I will be setting this up on our server this weekend. Hopefully it's not a monster of process. (it doesn't look like it)

Server is online. I also created a channel in teamspeak for UT. I have a couple different server options for us.. I have DM with and without bots and I have CTF with and without bots. Let me know what mode you want for now and i'll switch it up.

I'm probably going to play it tonight.
