    This is only my third knife in 2142, and the first TTPer.

    God I remember this , I was pissed. I had died with out ammo in my shotgun and got revived.

    ran up there click , click , click nothing switched to pistol in a panic but to no avail i got shanked hard.

    LOL oh well !!!

    i had to swing three times. im so used to CSS knifing, i always try and get as close as possible, and need to relearn the skill. once i have the hang of it look out... lol

    I dont know if you really can learn it in 2142.

    It truly seems random sometimes. Tatter is the only one I have ever seen that can do it with any sort of regularity.

    I had Mury dead to rights, crouched, not moving, facing away from me.

    I had enough time to think 'nah, I don't want to shoot him in the back of the head, I want his tags!'

    So I drew my knife, swung three times, my knife going through his damned body every swing.

    He casually turned around and sprayed me with half a clip, ending my miserable attempt at getting his tags.

    Sometimes I just don't understand either sacred

    I have gotten tags where my knife did not make any apparent contact with the person at all. There is some fine line on the knife range where you are too close or too far.

    The knife works like a slow moving short range bullet. When the victim is mobile, slash where he is about to go, rather than where he is.
