Work. Alternate title: Please forgive my boredom.

So yeah. I'm bored at work. Hate the job, and our inbox is all but empty (I just took the last 3 requests, will be done with those in less than 30 minutes if I don't slack). I have an hour and ten left to go. So, I took a pic of my cube. Good times.

I need a new position in the company. :\

The yellow umbrella and the US map on the wall. It's so...home.

I snaked the umbrella from my supervisor, right from under her nose. And I sometimes walk around with it like a cane when I stroll to her cube, and she's still none the wiser. It's a company propaganda umbrella (hence the yellow).

The map is for time zones. Need to get 'em right for the job.

And for the record, my home has neither map nor umbrella. I rarely get to travel out of my state, and rain doesn't scare me. Try doing 75mph in a downpour on the freeway on a motorcycle. That makes it at least a little interesting (and occasionally painful if you're not dressed for it).

Now for what you can see but not make out... On the monitor: left side is Kaneda on his bike, right is a Darth Vader head, and center is my Anti Skub sign (re: pbfcomics.com). On top of the PC is my Cube World cube (Whip). That string on the right (white line above the shelves) is a broken yo-yo string (dammit) with an army man repelling down. Big blue thing is my cup. There's a beanie next to the keyboard that I use to rest my elbow on. Past that is my trackball (<3 trackballs), and even further is a container of ear plugs (motorcycle, remember?).

    Speaking of slacking...

Yeah, my buddy from 2Wire (I worked there a ways back, and got him a job here with me) brought it in. I was previously using my trash can as a foot rest. I must say, the stool is superior. It's actually a broken chair (no backrest).

Did you see that I have my very own laser printer? Flex. It's not easy to get equipment like that in a big office. I don't have to walk to a stupid network printer half way across the building, woot.

And I almost never print. :D Well, I occasionally printer pictures of goats. My friend locks his machine when he walks away, so the only way I can goat him is to print and tape. Also, I made the sticky note below:

wow and I thought my workspace was bad. I happen to work in technology so I get all the toys at least. Have dual 19 inch dell flat panels with speakerbar, dell optiplex 745 dual core system, a Dell latitude D620 dual core laptop with biometrics for when I am in the field or out of state for ASU Orientation programs. Have a second Dell system on the left of my desk with it's own monitor, keyboard and mouse that I use to create computer images for my division at ASU. I have a HP 5000N laserjet printer, a small fridge, microwave...yada yada, and no tech would be complete without at least a couple fileing cabiniets full of old out of date hard drives, network and pc parts and more ethernet and video cables/splitters then I will ever use.

I will take picks at some point....
