Thread: Gears of War

I played some GoW yesterday, got to a part where you have to evade something called a Berserker, scary stuff. I've had the game for a while but havent installed it, really fun stuff. It might take time to get used to interaction with walls and what not, but once you do its so much fun. So far, most of the time you are part of a squad, you are asked to function as a squad member, flanking etc. The AI in the game is pretty nice, although sometimes your squad mates seem to be acting quite strangely.

yeah, i finally beat GoW yesterday. The AI is a little stupid in that game though. When i was trying (for the thrid time) to beat raam, my squad buddy whos name escapes me (marcus?) decides to rush the 7 foot tall MG wielding badass boss. It actually worked, 10 tourque bow shots and too many rifle clips later, uber cutscene time! i have the xbox version which means i don't get to beat down the big, ginormus, gun backed killing machine. I'm jealous

Yeah I read yesterday about added content on the PC. Look at the bright side, you dont have to deal with the many performance issues bundled with the PC version. The game is really exciting, I stopped after killing the first Berserker. Im gonna keep going today, the in-game videos are just amazing and keep me wanting to play more.

The berserker is bad ass and scary enough to even just hear as you get closer to having to fight em. Have to use the satellite ray beam to kill em. The squad play is nice but the AI is a little sketchy. You always have to go under fire to revive them when they are down. The plot and story line are awesome. Haven't played it in awhile, guess I should start playing again.

Oh, try the multi play. It is also bad ass but most other players in multi are foreign speaking foreign languages.

Tried it. Couldn't stand it.

Was it the camera shake?

Ive had enough trying to configure the Windows Live thing so me and Investigater can go co-op ass whopping. It just prompts the same shit over and over again.

What I didn't like about it are the same things people spout as great. The cover system, for example. Drove me nuts. Found myself doing things I didn't want to do. I prefer the implementation in R6:V, but I still don't like cover systems in general. Give me a lean and I'm good.
