Weapon Choice

With all the weapons unlocked I still find myself using the basic weapons with each kit. The tank missles can be curved or used as a long range sniper weapon. The LMG gun can be used both as close assualt weapon and long range support weapon, if used correctly. I perfer the standard sniper weapon to the upgraded rifle mustly due to the red tint that for some reason makes it hard to see long range. Also all the medic weapons work well.

I assume this is about 2142 since you mentioned red tint on the sniper rifle (Zeller?). I'm a Voss van myself... I can never go anywhere without my Defib.

They all have their advantages and disadvantages and are suited to fit different play styles. The Voss for example might be weaker, but it has a larger clip and is a bit more accurate when going fully auto. The Baur on the other hand has a smaller clip and is less accurate on full auto, but is more powerful and is a good CQB weapon and great for sniper still.

I haven't played 2142 in a long time, but I was almost always using my assault/medic kit and using one of those 2 weapons.

I prefer my trusty shotgun though when I do end up using support since it is great for Titan Assault/defense with the tight corridors there. The LMG and HMG both have their purposes though, even on the Titan. As I said though, it does depend on your play style usually.
