12-14-07, 10:40 AM #1Check out my new 3dMark score
The link is over in my profile. Before you tell me about your awesome 12K score, which I would be proud of if I were you, let's consider that I spent a TOTAL of $700 on my entire system. Also remember that I was playing on a Sony laptop that couldn't even get over a 1K score, and had slow frames on all low settings. I played BF2 last night on all maxed settings, and never lagged/glitched/had slow frames once. I am perfectlyhappy with my 8181 score.

Re: Check out my new 3dMark score
Regardless of your proc. that video card will make BF2 perform perfectly with everything on. in fact, you can manually turn it up to 16x antialiasing (thats what I use) and BF2 looks even better. That video card could run BF2 perfectly on an even smaller proc. than yours (like my old one!)
Your proc. would affect load times though... but with a desktop hard drive you should be loading faster; so I wonder how that balanced at. Are your map loads faster? (can you always get a jet?)

Note that under "anti aliasing mode" you can select: global, Off, Enhance, or Override. Enhance will apply the AA setting to all surfaces the game applies AA to; to use "enhance" you must enable AA within the game. Override on the otherhand applies the AA setting selected to ALL surfaces in the game. Under "Antialiasing - setting" you will see you have options that are unavailable in game; 8q, 16, 16q. I have had good luck with 16 and BF2 on my rig.
to check your in-game FPS in BF2 and BF2142 open the console (default "`") and type "renderer.drawfps 1" and you will get a set of numbers in the upper left hand corner separated by a slash. the first number is FPS, the second number is time between frames. Good luck!
