Civil was telling me about X-fire and I am getting ready to install it this weekend but I have a few questions:

1) It shows people what game you are playing and other people on your list?

2) In game chat even if they are not in your game? Does this pop up and interupt your game? Can you turn the message feature of when in game?

3) Do many people on here use it?

Yes, and includes the server name, map name etc.

If you want it to intereupt you, I think it can.... but normally, you just hear sounds when messages are send and received. You also hear sounds when friend enter and leave Xfire, like doors opening and closing. To communicate via text, you do have to ALT/TAB to Xfire to type and to click buttons, but once your in, you can comminucate verbally without using ANY KEYS or without ANY interruption to your game play. If you have a G15 Keyboard, you will see any text message scroll across the LCD screen... (this I like).

3) Do many people on here use it?

This I don't know, I use it sometimes, when I'm a squad with a friend... or don't want to make a long distance phone call.

1)yes, and yes

2)you can chat when in and out. when in game you have to press 2 buttons to pull it up and it only slides up with the message and then dissapears(until you pull it back up by the 2 buttons) it should not interfere with your game.

3) yes I have 15-20 some odd people from TTP on my buddy list and growing. see who's got the icon under their name and then add em.

Mostly all the people tht have an X in there profile(where you see the stats) have it.

I usually always have X on, it's great, I have my settings to show my FPS and the time also.

I use it to see where people are, SF, vanilla, PR, TF2, 2142. JB also bugs gthe crap out of me by keeping me up til 3 talking about how HRD will soon tae over the world.

JK JB, I enjoy our chats, they usually keep me sane when EA pisses me off.

How do you use it during BF2? I hit scroll lock + x and nothing happens. That is the bind I have set for it. It's enabled for BF2. I know I did it before without a problem.
