I wouldn't hold my breath for a patch anymore.

Let's hope for ArmA's success.

I'm going to buy it from a store....hopefully, if they don't have any copies I'll just preorder off of steam.

Does ArmA2 have a "preload" function with steam?

OK, I give up, I predownload, downloaded super downloaded and still the game doesnt run, today I was atempting to play L4D and it was downloading something else so can anyone please give me a tip for safely removing that game of steam? I dont want to risk my computer I rather play it when it is all fixed and the crazy over

Have you tried to do the non-steam downloaded version? Some people have been having troubles with the steam version dl and have had success with the non-steam dl version.

I got in some multiplayer time earlier, and damnit, I want some HRD peeps in there!

I'd love to play with you, Walker. I had REALLY high hopes for this game.

It has just been completely unplayable for me though. I've only been able to actually load the game once.

Have you tried since the recent patch? I was having many of the same probs, but now it seems totally solid.. or at least a lot more solid than before..

You might try altering your vid/aud settings too if you can get it loaded.
