I know my computer can handle this... I exceed the recommended system specs.

But yes, I have tried all the little tricks and tried it again after the patch... playing in windows mode, lowering my settings down to bare bones. Nada. I even reinstalled it once and that was when I was able to play one round. After that, it went right back to freezing up whenever I click enlist.

It seems like it has some easily corrupted files or something.

I'm seeing a lot of stuff that falls in line with what you are saying, Walker. I'm going to try the AA official deployment download now... maybe Steam does just suck balls on any non valve game.

I've made it to soldier name...does it have a feature for Tags or does it have to be in your soldier name at the start? if it doesn't have a feature I will have to use a shorter name/not use the tags

Like I said before, they MAY do something like what they did with AA2, make a name change feature.

1 letter too many...when I tried my name, {HRD} SpiritOfF1re, it came out as {HDSpiritOfF1re,
