Thread: Xavsnipe's sig slogan

I have been reading a lot of various slogans for IRON members involving iron...some from the bible...etc. However, yours caught my attention. Your slogan comes from one of my favourite historical figures...the unifier of Germany...Otto von Bismark. I spend 2 years of university studying him. Are you a history buff of Germany or was this a cool slogan to add to your sig?

I'm just a history buff in general, I had very good teachers throughout highschool and college. I'm building myself to be a 3'rd world country dictator, extreme right, of course.

With such lofty goals you must be a fan of Realpolitik and my personal fav Machiavelli..."is it better to be loved or feared"?...of course the answer is feared...if your people are more afraid of you than the enemy they will not leave the field of battle...keep this in mind when building your dictatorship utopia.......

Indeed, I've read The Prince as well, seems like every line in that book is as important as the next one...great read...I like where it mentions mercenaries and how rulers erode their own "kingdom" with their methods. Extreme right dictatorships usually go hand in hand with "death squads" to clean up the remnants of whatever threatens the stability and well being of the country. You have to eliminate interior threats if you want to be able to withstand external ones. The tree of liberty needs to be watered from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. There will be a moment where my power is so grand, that even I will need to be eliminated and replaced.

Then you also must be a closet Jacobin...didn't they do this in the Reign of Terror during the French Revolution. Thomas Hobbes also fits nicely into the equation "During the time when men live without a common power to keep them in awe, they are in that condition which is called war...where every man is enemy to every man. In such condition, there is no place for industry...no navigation...no arts, no letters, no society and...continual fear of violent death; and the life of man, solitary, poor, nasty, brutish and short" Just in case you need to have the ends justify the means in support of your country...
