Thread: aix zip bomb

sounds pretty cool huh? to bad its not the case....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zip_bomb
did a little searching and found 2 in my aix files and one in my 2142 file also one in a system restore file. obviously these r horribly bad for the system if one gets opened, thankfully i think they havent yet. so i recommend if u guys play aix or 2142 to look for these.

I am pretty much computer illiterate. How do I go about detecting one of these? how do I distinguish this from something not malicious, and how do I get rid of them?

I have been having problems with my windows live care one updates lately, could this be a reason? Any help would be appreciated fellas.

man idk, im perty comp illiterate myself. my antivirus found it, it could be a false positive cause nothin happened to my comp so far i thnk. anyhow, i tried to delete it and it wouldnt delete so idk...........

Do any of you other EGGHEADS have an answer to my query?
