DirectX 9.0C redistributable would not install even after clearing DirectX from the registry. I grabbed the old DirectX files out of Halo 1 and copied the DX9.0c cab files into the folder, ran DirectX.exe an wahla DX9.0c is back in DXdiag. BF2 runs once again. Back in the game. :9
