I have a hard time visualizing this. Do you have a long house or something? Ethernet cables and network switches are fairly inexpensive--especially when compared to buying a new Xbox. If cabling is daunting, get a wireless PCI card for your PC and get a wireless network switch to connect it to. I'm a PC gamer also with a custom rig and I simply cannot imagine NOT finding a way to put it online to play.

her house is like a big rectangle. She's at the far left and the modem is at the far right. All her family is always using electrical machines all day which causes interference and gives a reaaalllly bad connection.

Weird. Does the connection work better at night when everything's off? I wonder if the cabling is poor so that even with the interference removed, it would still have a poor signal.
