That strategy is a good one, but not the one in question. He is saying do the strategy you listed, then go back all the way to spawn again, and repeat. That would never work, unless you were playing against like sjt or somethin, then you could do it all day long


But all jokes aside, that strat would only work if the entire ct team never communicated and were total retards............or if sjt was on the team.

technically, it was never down. It just had to move hosts and registrars. Today's downtime was because the registrar reset the nameservers to defaults once the transfer was complete....which is ridiculous...but it happened.

Why am I telling you this?

Because 711 has decided to step back a bit, and I'm the new owner of L4DF. I've been in the web community game for a while, running teamplayergaming.com (formerly know as texasteamplayers.com), and assisting 711 as well as other game communities like tacticalgamer, edge-gamers, esportsea, hellsgamers, gamesprays, and planetminecraft. We might see some good collaborations from some of these communities and L4DF to provide more user functions and opportunities. Servers, contests, tournaments...who knows.

Change usually sucks (as evidenced by the transfer drama), but....sometimes it's good. I'm a believer in communities, forums, and gamers, and there's no reason to think this forum won't continue to thrive, and even expand, under my watch.

For the most part, I'll be sticking to the admin forums as we get the front and back ends of the site squared away, I figure out the power structure, identify things we can change, and things we should talk about changing....if anything at all.

I'm sure you've noticed a few things, like the 728x90 ad after the first post being removed, and then replaced with the 300x250 ads near the quick reply. Soon, we'll be adding some gameserver monitors from my own community, which will give you PC-L4D'ers a place to play (and get gameme tracked). We'll be enhancing some profile functions here on the site soon, and optimizing the layout in order to enhance the usefulness and appearance of the site.

If some of you are familiar with me at texasteamplayers aka teamplayergaming....then you know I'm not playing around. I take managing and being a part of a community seriously. At teamplayergaming, we're zealots about people treating eachother in-game, and in the forums, as humans, being fair, and working as a a team. Of course.....that also means blasting the hell out of the other "team", so by no means do I think we're all going to get along, all the time.

If we all got along all the time, then we'd never have any new ideas, choices to make, changes to implement, and progress to enjoy. So feel free not to get along, so long as you are fair, open minded to disagreement, and understand that on the other side of the post you're about to destroy, there's a human who's waiting...if not hoping...to do the very same to you. Play nice.

I look forward to the good, the bad, and the ugly interactions I know all forums are capable of producing.
