Toke, on images where its cutout from the background, im usually using a gif but it doesnt always work.

These two I cant figure out. The first one I made color of forums not realizing that there are two small color differences in each post.

(And yes i realize I need to cut the 2nd one down by 10px)
You can tell what I mean by that, I saved the 2nd one as gif but it messed up...distorts the shadow.

Yea saving as a gif will do that.. If you still have the psd file, just save as a PNG and you should be fine.

Oradi, if you're using PS, then you don't even need to flatten the image from a .psd.. simply go up to File/Save for Web. When that window pops open, make sure you have the drop-down box in the settings set to "PNG-24" and the checkbox that says "transparency" is checked. It will save a flattened version in .png form from your .psd without altering the psd, preserving any transparencies, including drop shadows and the like.
