Scheduled Mining Ops?

Just curious if we have enough interest (and firepower) to start regularly running some 0.0 mining ops? I'd be signing up as a bodyguard, but I'm curious as to whether we have enough mining and industry capabilities to make use of no-sec mining.

I know that is the plan JB has. I think the biggest problem with that plan is numbers and skills. Once we get larger, and have more experienced players, we can schedule some ops like this.

Mmmhm we currently do not have any pilots capable of running that low. I mean we don't even go low sec unless we must. In time our goal is to get ourselves down there.

And Tick, you could always join us then maybe we'll be faster to move that direction if you are able to run 0.0 security for us.

Pfft, all of our pilots could go to 0.0 right this second, with their current skill sets. It has to be the right 0.0. You're just all chicken (and turkey, and a little duck, too).

The best ships that can have turrets on them I could fly are the Frigates, with no special toys. I am not a combat pilot.

Frigates are plenty. EVE is about intelligence and the willingness to exercise it, not your ship or your skills.

0.0 is pretty empty compared to Low Sec. Just plan your routes in carefully and avoid any major warzone hotspots. The rest of it is just keeping an eye on scanners and having some good tackler/EWar pilots to give your fleet an advantage at the very least in running away.

0.0 is lonely. My last corp operated solely in 0.0-0.3 and it is not as if we couldn't go out right now. I just dont think it is a good idea at this point. You can call me any avian you want, but I don't think we are built up enough for that just yet, not to mention the young crowd we have. they may possess a lot of intelligence, but a lack of knowledge. Knowledge is a more powerful weapon than intelligence.
