Power grid usage

How do you reduce it so that when you place a module in it doesn't take up as much power? What do you need to train for that kind of reduction or is it even possible?

Alot of skills are aimed at reducing your fitting overhead....without a doubt you need Engineering V. The weapon upgrades skill is useful as well...I don't train it as high because I typically am not fitting alot of guns on my ships (drones FTW).

You can't replace modules in space unless you're at a POS.

Several skills will help you, some are general and affect all modules, some are specific. As stated above, check through EVEmon in the Engineering and Electronics skill sections. That should help.
