i was ask some question to ponder on, some took me awhile to get, lets see if you guys know
1.If it's zero degrees outside today and it's supposed to be twice as cold tomorrow, how cold is it going to be?

2.Why do we go under over-passes and over under-passes?

3.Why do scientists call it research when looking for something new?

4.Why are they called apartments, when they're all stuck together?

5.How come wrong numbers are never busy?

6.Why are there interstate highways in Hawaii?

1. Is it Celcius or Fehrenhiet?

2. You go under over-passes because its passing over you... and you go over under-passes because there are cars under you.

3. If it was re-search, it would be different. But since it's one word and has its own meaning, its research.

4. Its just a name, don't take it literally. If you really think about it.... Apartments are separated into different buildings...

5. I have no idea what the hell your talking about.

6. Because Hawaii is apart of the US and the highways are inside the state, hence "inter"state. It would be different if it was "INTRA"state.

2. over means above in place or position and pass is a road so you are going under a road which is above you, and you go over a pass which is below you.

3. Well technically it not new, for how could they know about with out someone finding it out before them?

4. well Apart means into pieces or parts, and ment means to mix so they are pieces or parts mixed together.

5. To further annoy you.

6. it is in the state, and inter can mean to burry or place into the ground.

well the driveway part is because the actually definition of a driveway is a road which leads to a garage, house etc. so you shouldn't park on a driveway, but changees in the way the word is used cause it to believed as such.

for parkway, well a park way is a road divided by a strip of land or barrier of sorts. So you drive on a parkway as it is a way which divided by a park.
