Can someone please explain to me, exactly how is Little Bo Peep scary?? The other night and again today I saw some pretty stupid idiots, wearing costumes for 'All Hallows Eve', which, by definition means:

Wiktionary, the free dictionary.Halloween, or Hallowe'en, is a holiday celebrated on the night of October 31. Traditional activities include trick-or-treating, Halloween festivals, bonfires, costume parties, visiting "haunted houses", carving jack-o-lanterns, and viewing horror films. Halloween originated from the Pagan festival Samhain, celebrated among the Celts of Ireland and Great Britain[citation needed]. Irish and Scottish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century. Other western countries embraced the holiday in the late twentieth century. Halloween is now celebrated in several parts of the western world, most commonly in Ireland, the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom and occasionally in parts of Australia and New Zealand.
The term Halloween (and its alternative rendering Hallowe'en) is shortened from All-hallow-even, as it is the eve of "All Hallows' Day",[1] also which is now known as All Saints' Day.
Many European cultural traditions, in particular Celtic cultures, hold that Halloween is one of the liminal times of the year when spirits can make contact with the physical world, and when magic is most potent (according to, for example, Catalan mythology about witches and Scottish and Irish tales of the Sídhe).
Now, with that in mind, exactly how does Alice in Wonderland, Mary Poppins, Little Bo Peep, Doctors, Nurses, The Sexy Naughty Night Nurse, and all the other bullshit costumes, portray a scary image like that of The Headless Horseman, Undead Risen from their Graves, Count Dracula, Frankenstein, Ghosts and Goblins?
I have given this a bit of thought over the past few days, and, the only compelling reason I can come up with, is, that these people think Halloween is supposed to be about what they wished they had done with their lives had they not gotten pregnant in high school, or, what their dream life would be if.... you fill in the blank, because, obviously that's what these fucking morons think that they are supposed to do with Halloween.
PS... Don't let Raggedy Ann and Andy scare you! I hear that is the most popular scary costume for 20 years running!

Re: Halloween..costumes..?!?
Last night at the mall i saw a 15 year old girl dressed as a skanky Bo Peep, and several older women dressed naughty, but not the kind of women you would want to see dressed that way (my eyes are still burning, especially from the 300+ pound woman dressed as Rainbow Bright in a mini skirt). If my daughter was under the age of 18 and wanted to dress like a skank for Halloween I would make her wear pants underneath that skirt, or not dress up at all. Even little girl costumes are getting bad. I don't even wear mine anymore because I am a mom and don't want to be parading around in a short skirt with my son.
