It is with some joy that I tell you this.

Today I was granted a transfer option to the College of Agricultural and Life Science School in Cornell University. What does this mean? Honestly I really do not know fully at this time either. But I think a certain number speaks a lot. This year, Cornell had over 30,000 applications. Of that 30,000 not many are granted transfer options. But I was. Why do I tell you this you may ask. Answer is quite simple really. I feel you helped me get here.

I applied early decision to Cornell and was differed. In the letter saying that I was differed it asked me to update any possible things that might have been of interest. Among other things I said this:

I also helped establish and run a gaming clan (“=Phoenix=”) that averages 15-20 players. As a founding member of the clan, in April 2007, I helped create a code of conduct, organize scrimmages with other clans and moderate the clan’s message boards. This was challenging because the other two leaders were in different time zones of the U.S.!

Why did I include this in my letter? I felt that being one of the founders of =Phoenix= here gave me the opportunity to apply my leadership skills and to learn effective disciplinary skills while not going over board.

This transfer option is effectively a back door into Cornell. So then you could say that yes, TTP has helped send teamplayers to the Ivy League since 2008 with the caveat that it is a transfer.

Well then, perhaps we at my fruit farm will see you around. The good ol' Cornell boys were out our way today checkin out (and giving trimming instructions) an experimental Honey Crisp orchard they've got planted on our farm.
