Ike blew me all the way to Kansas.
Hello all. Well, my family and I waited out the storm in Beaumont. Man, that shit was scary. I thought the roof was going to come off a couple of times. We are safe and not too much damage to my parents or my house. Beaumont is all messed up though. You can't drink the water and they finally got the sewer working so you can take a shit and flush the toilet. The fire department came door to door asking people to leave so that's what we did. I am currently in Kansas visiting my brother and his family and we are returning to Beaumont tomorrow. We still don't have power, but my job keeps calling me wanting to know when I'll be back. Gotta make that chedda ya know? So, I am using my my mom's laptop and Verizon card to leave this message and I don't know when I'll be able to get back online again. Take care and hopefully I'll be back online soon. Peace out, Mouf.

OMFG! I cant believe you waited it out! You are one Badass dude! I saw some footage of Beaumont on one of the networks and damn, you are right, it was messed up, i thought you got outta dodge!
On a similar note, here in upstate NY, hurricanes do not exist, if the even make it this far, its only as rain. But strangely enough, last Sunday night, under a crystal clear sky and full bright moon, we got hit with a NASTY wind storm that only lasted for a few hours but produced several wind gusts to 70 MPH. Now thats rough for here, and when it snapped off part of my willow tree and rammed it into the side of my house, it scared the shit out of me! I can only imagine the mind blowing asskicking the wind of a hurricane pummeling the house your in for hours on end! Nuts man! That truly has to be some scary shit!
