    Tech question

I was comparing my CPU specs to the projected system requirements for Battlefield 3 and I was wondering is it better to have dual(quad etc.) video cards or one large one?

    Re: Tech question

There are no quad video cards unless your working off a server motherboard or one of the pimp editions I find at CES. Rember buying the lasts thing out there doesn't mean you have the best. What I do is find a balance in the specs and see what I'm trading off on price levels. It's also an investment. I had my Nvidia 8800 for a few years before I went to the ATI Radion 4890. While I would have loved to have two GTs the single ATI is dam good by itself. Think of this though, if I had the dual Nvidias they would performed a bit less then the standards of my ATI. Granted they were a bit older. Spend less for older cards, more for one, or crazy more to crosfire two new models.

Are you referring to a board with quad video capabilities? You could use two HD-5970's and get quad gpu's.

You also need to consider the Wattage the two video card use. A pair of cards in mind, check and see if they will require a new power supply.

    Re: Tech question

Oh my bad I ment I have a quad core processor and dual Nvidia video cards. No soviet, it didnt require a upgraded power supply. I was just thinkin that even with the dual cards I might not make the requirements. Can I just add new video card(s) as needed or should I trade up for newer stuff?
