Yeah another good thing to do against marines is heavy attack followed by a light attack (you can do this as predator and alien). It should give you an instant kill towards marines. Another good thing to do is stay on ceilings and walls (as alien) and use your tail (right click) to kill enemy's. The ceiling/wall technique is especially good towards marines because if you sprint a lot and maneuver right it makes it very difficult for marines to hit you. It should take 2 hits for a marine, and I think 3 for predator like this video I posted here. He shows some heavy, light attack combos, and some of the ceiling/wall attacks with the tail (right click)
EDIT: Oh and one more thing, as alien you may want to turn on alien auto transition in the game settings. It makes it much easier to maneuver better and stuff.

I found that doing a focus, and light attack will trip the marine. Followed by a heavy and they are down in two hits.

oh ya you can do that lunge attack thing like a predator... i need to use that more. seems it would work really well from attacking off ceilings and stuff plus it is a quick kill

No, it should have a heavy single player story. You can go it alone or pull in, I believe 4 maybe up to 8 friends to go through the story with you. So think of the Marine campaign from AVP3 mixed with Left 4 Dead Co-Op. I wounder if they will add in multiplayer death match some how, though it would be lame not haveing Predaors.

Yeah but then again not having predators makes it a trillion times easier to balance the classes. With AVP 3 I think they did a great job balancing out the classes, but it sure looked like it would be a big pain in the rear and it could have been better balanced. I think the class balance will be a ton better in this game as well though because it is just Aliens and Marines. 2 classes = 1 counters another. With 3 classes you have to be able to counter the other 2, while having both of them be able to counter attack you. Just seems like they could balance the game out easier with Aliens and Marines. I haven't hear any word about them putting Predators in.

Speaking of which isn't there a prequal to the Aliens movie coming out soon?

NO! Fucing Scott, is all like, uhh it was suppose to be two alien prequel movies, but I made it one, then decided to make in barely linked to the alien series, uhhhmamam there's Alien DNA but it's its own thing.

You will learn a lot more about the space Jockeys, and from what i understand, although there is a strong link to the alien movies
(as in the origin of the aliens) Prometheus can stand on its own. THAT makes it more appealing to me.
