    Data phone disappointment.

I finally broke down and bought a data phone over the weekend. My last phone was a boulder with an extended battery. I loved that phone 1 good charge and it was good for a week. Now i have a casio commando and i swear the fucker spends more time on the charger then it does off it.

I might take this thing back and get the only other phone i can use which was a flip phone. Due to work i only have 2 choices because ardex dust will kill just about anything. So it has to dust proof or leave it in the car and i know i wont remember to to do that everytime.

There has got to be a battery out there that will keep this thing charged.

I had to get into the habit of charging mine overnight. It can usually push 3 days on mine, depending on how much I use it. One if the big things to do is turn off stuff you don't use.

Bluetooth, mobile internet, wifi, etc. I generally keep screen brightness down as well. Depending on your phone's operating system, you may have to watch out for applications that keep running in the background.

While its useful to always be connected to the internet, and get push notifications anytime I get an email, or somebody makes a move in words with friends, or somebody steam messages me, or my favorite team just scored... etc, all those apps are taking battery life from the stuff I really use my phone for. Like angry birds.

Does exactly what it sounds like. Shuts down apps that don't stop running by simply exiting from them. Android apps were (still are?) notorious for this.

It's an application you can download that can kill/disable other applications which drain your battery.

You can practically shut down any applications that you do not use.
