My best friend also had a wolf in his house. It was the sweetest wolf ever until it bit my freaking leg to the bone when I was in sixth grade.

Believe me, there are animals that aren't meant to be "domesticated". Animals will never loose that killer instinct, and it just takes 1 move to trigger it. Wolves and pitbulls fall under this category.

Well of course that's going to happen when you try and mount it.

it seems wolves don't like to sit on people's laps. that bite hurt

Seriously though...these animals should be in the wild.

    Re: Thread full of cute!

My mom has a pitbull that she got from my sister. We were going home one day and he decided he didnt want to be in the truck anymore so he jumped out, well tried to. It was a long ride and thankfully I had put the dogs in their chest harnesses, tied them in to the points under the tool box so they had just enough room to roam the bed but couldnt go over the back. The dumb dog went over the side instead. By the time I got stopped the poor guy was bleeding everywhere, ground down several toes and had some road rash from the tire.
Took him into the vet asap, they were a little nervous at first but before long I could here them in the back talking to him. They came out and told me that was the calmest dog they had ever seen after something like that. They said sometimes dogs will snarl and snap at you, it was just like he knew they were helping him and he hardly made a sound. Told the gal, he is our dumb loveable Chester, he will slurp you to death if you let him.
If he knows you its like come on in sit over here would you like tea? How have you been? If not, there is this nice deep growl that makes you stop and think twice.

Out of curiousity, and as a learning experience for others, why did it bite you. Obviously the animal felt provoked for some reason. Are you telling us that you were simply standing there not doing anything, no running, no jumping, no yelling, basically nothing and he came up to you and bit you that hard?

Yea, the fuckin wolfie was lying there...aaand I came out to the yard running for a soccer ball I'd left there...and the wolf went for the kill hehehe....I never said these animals will just snap out of the blue, they'll snap when something triggers their instincts.

But believe me, I love these animals, they're awesome and most of them are really tasty, but some of them just belong in the wild, period. I really think it's dumb to own a pitbull, for example...really really dumb. You keep saying to yourself yea they're so wonderful they'll never bite someone because it's the love I give them, but genetically, these dogs have been bread to fight or hunt. How many times have you seen pitbull maulings on their owners babies, friends and even the owners themselves.

Like you said, they were bred that way.

exactly...genetically, these dogs have been bred to kill. Why would someone endanger their children with such a breed. Get them a pug or something.

Again, I DON'T HATE PITBULLS, they're lovely, but I consider them the most dangerous "domestic" breed out there.
