Well i finally finished of NAS Jacksonville. So now im off the alabamer. Red Stone arsenal and an ATF building are getting built so got to install some floors. Sucks i have to drive up for 3 days to drive back home for the holiday but my pass will exspire before tuesday then i would be screwed for 2 weeks.

Its gonna be a pain in the ass the floor is patterned all to hell and back but it will look pretty cool when its done. I wish i knew what the fucking deal with circles in the flooring. This shit comes in squares and rectangles fucking work with me just a bit here.

Hopefully the hotel will have good internet unlike tulsa so. On the up side if it does have good internet i wont be spending 5 hours a day driving so i can get some game time in.

What's the floor material made of vinyl, ceramic or wood ?

VET, broad loom carpet, carpet tiles, sheet vinyl, amtico plank, and ceramic. Which narrowed down says carpet, ceramic, and vinyl.

I've installed alot of floors but only in geometric patterns, I never had the opportunity to do circles I'd like to learn it.

Do you have to hand cut the pieces ?

Yeah you have to hand cut everyone of them unless you get lucky and they paid a company to water jet cut them. Its not really all that hard to make the circles as long as they were at least smart enough to make the center obtainable from the room. Of which for whatever reason they seem to think its cool to make center past the wall which makes it a bit more tricky to do.

So do you have a pattern to work off of or just a drawing that you have to scale up from ?

Fuckers did a nice one that will probably take me a full day to do all on its own. Its 1 larger circle with 3 smaller ones inside of it. Then just for that extra kick in the ass they cut them up like pies. Switching colors for every circle and every slice. That kind of stuff looks really nice when its done but you spend all day cussing the fucker out that drew it into the prints.

I have to scale the drawing. I learned many years ago follow the print to the letter. Then when something comes back that doesn't look like it did in their head they can pay me to do it again or accept it the way it is.

One good thing coming out of all this out of town work is i have been invited to the forbo certification school in dallas. So in september ill be in dallad for about a week all exspenses paid until i decide to leave the hotel anyway. As long as i eat in the hotel the only thing it will cost me is gas to get there and back because ill be damned if im gonna just sit around the hotel after the class everyday.
