Re: Horror for people who hate horror
Well, I can watch Event Horizon or I can watch C-Span... I know which one spells futility in a more finite way IMO.
...and sorry, the moment Laurence Fishburne got a look of the Event Horizon - He could have said 'screw this' and just turned everything around and headed home. You know that's what went through his mind too... you can see it.Last edited by kilo33; 01-28-12 at 12:26 PM.

Re: Horror for people who hate horror
I like more creepy movies than the ones that try to scare you by having things jump out and scream. So Event Horizon and The Exorcist are right up my alley. I liked the Saw movies more for entertainment value of what kooky ways they could come up with to kill someone, but they didnt scare me. I unfortunately saw Hostel in the theaters and we ended up laughing through most of it due to the terrible acting and plot holes.
So my horror list that actually scare me would probably be:
Event Horizon
Exorcist
Devil's Rejects
28 Days Later
and even I Am Legend in some aspects

Re: Horror for people who hate horror
Event Horizon
Pandorum
The first and second Alien movies
Dog Soldiers
The Thing
The Crazies
edit: Quarantine, or any other first person movie.
Only ones I can think of off the top of my head, most aren't super scary in the traditional sense I guess, more along the lines of tension and fear from the characters.
Also the Tremors series is far more of a monster movie than scary, but you should watch that too.Stick07 liked this post
