Sportsmanship (Or lackthereof)
So, I'm not sure if this is the right forum. Sorry if it's not!
I was just playing a VS mode on 360 for L4D2, DeC. Joined in a lobby with two guys with sM at the front of their gamertags, so I'm assuming they're of some sorta clan I've never heard of.
Anyway, it's just me and them, they're on Infected, so I select one of the survivors. They then begin the match right away. My connection had been pretty shoddy, so I was expecting to get severely smashed by them. Of course, I am, seeing as a tank spawned as soon as I entered the hallway of the top floor of the hotel. It thoroughly tore the AI and I to pieces. Then, I get the same thing on my infected turn, only I managed to get slightly more points than them (less than ten more, I believe.)
Now, this is when it becomes a little more obvious that these guys are in it to win it. They vote to return to the lobby and it passes, two to one. So, we sit for a moment, and immediately start up again. I play through most of the level with all AIs, and when we get out of the elevator, a tank appears! Two splitscreeners then joined in as Rochelle and Coach, and the tank manages to light itself on fire. As we run past it into the kitchen, it dies, and we all make it into the safe room. Hurray!
Then once again, the sM couple votes to return to the lobby, only losing this time three to two. They then just quit, thus ending the game. Yay for poor sportsmanship!
I'm not astonished by the fact that Tanks were spawning on DeC. No, I've come to accept that. What really ruins my rice here is that these guys just showed such horrible sportsmanship. Just because you don't win the very first round, or all the survivors make it through on the first one doesn't mean you won't win the match!
Ugh. Poor sportsmanship in VS is really what's ruining it for me, here. Anyone else?

I was dealing with a similar situation this morning. A friend of mine invited me to a lobby so I joined expecting a good game and some team mates that wouldn't rage quit for once.
We go as infected first and before I even spawned for the first time I knew we were in for a tough time. Zoey ran over and blocked my spawn (I was boomer) while the other three were skeeting two inbound hunters. I told my team mates "Okay so we know they're a team and they have good ears, lets make sure to start planning these attacks shall we?". No one listened...
So they make it through the map with few issues because my team mates are going in one at a time. I knew I was in for a long game at this point.
Our turn as survivors and we get beaten up pretty badly on their second attack. They attempted a 3-1 and would have gotten it if not for me killing one of their hunters before I got pounced and lost most of my health. I did all I could to keep my team mates alive and attempted to explain what was coming before each attack but again no one listened. By the time we got 75% of the way through the level the other team caught on to the fact that I was paying more attention than my team mates. My three team mates got biled on and I got pounced in the chaos and died with my team mates standing two feet from me because they aren't skilled at shooting towards someone's name I guess...soon the entire team is dead.
Our turn as infected on the second map. Tank spawns right off the bat and the guy that gets it runs right in with no help and dies without touching anyone. He yells and screams and starts accusing the other team of glitching.
By the third map we're behind by over 1500 points and my team mates are all complaining about the other team cheating when in fact they are just THAT good. Half way through one of my team mates quit, the second one rage quits as they enter the safe room. By the time it is our turn to do the map as the survivors I'm by myself with three bots.
I made it half way through the level by myself skeeting multiple hunters a long the way. I ended up dying due to a witch/bad survivor AI.
I've never understood why people are like that. These guys claim they are some of the best but the first time a team comes a long and starts giving them a good game they claim that they are cheating and rage quit. Hell they've even accused me of it before after begin shot through a wall or turning and shooting them as soon as they spawn. I mean if they are as good as they claim they are why do they spawn so early?, why do they make so much noise?, why do they attack one by one?, why can't they see a 3-1 coming a mile away?, why don't they modify their play after getting dead stopped five times in a row?
Versus mode is like this sometimes. Your either labeled a noob and kicked out of the game or your labeled a cheater because your "too good". They should have a separate mode for scrubs.
