I have been playing l4d2 a fair bit this week and I picked up a PNY GTX 570, I cranked the graphics settings (all highest detail, anti-aliasing, etc)... the game runs well until my system resets. I've had this occur twice during a 45-50 minute game, which was frustrating to say the least.

When I installed my new card it gave me a message that L4d2 didn't recognize it, I have had resets 4 times so far. I am running an i7, 650-700watt PS (minimum for my card 550w), I doubt this is a power issue, but it very well could be due to the symptoms. I am going to play Bad Company 2 today for a while and if the issue persists, I've already played bc2 for sometime and a couple other graphic intensive games and no issues there, but I want to investigate further. Any known issues or suggest?

Try all of that. Also, what is your PC's temperature when it resets?

From System reset, I mean my system literally resets on it's own, meaning I'm playing the game, the screen goes blank, pc "turns off" and then comes back on, i.e. reset.

I will try the Cache thing too and get the temp when I get home.

That definitely does sound like your PC is overheating but I could be totally wrong. If you can, keep a lot of space around your PC, vacuum your fans and maintain airflow through the PC.
